The Media & Marketing Specialist will be involved in all aspects of media creation and editing, supporting Wayne Transports Inc. with the delivery of a wide range of materials for marketing purposes. The emphasis of this exempt role will be on executing professional multi-media designs in accordance with company Brand Standards. Serve as a steward of Wayne Transports’ brand standards, ensuring consistency across all external and internal materials. The overall output of this position is integral to supporting and promoting the brand identity of Wayne Transports Inc. and communicating stake holder's in a professional manner. The Media Marketing Specialist will report directly to the General Manager. Under the guidance of the General Manager, the Media & Marketing Specialist supports the design of a range of communicating on materials for displays, print and multimedia projects. The purpose of this position is to convey messages, training, and themes consistent with the company’s mission, vision, and values.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and track marketing programs such as email, social media, or digital campaigns, and events
Write, proofread, and edit creative and technical content across different mediums
Develop and create marketing materials including image preparation, creating finished artwork for print, layouts, digital and video formats maintaining quality and ensuring brand guidelines are met
Partner closely with Recruiting to support driver, mechanic, and leadership hiring through employer branding, recruiting campaigns, job media, and social content
Build and manage the company’s social media profiles and presence such as Facebook, and other channels as appropriate for business objectives, including marketing, recruiting, and employer branding.
Communicate successfully with project team members during the life cycle of each project in order to properly understand the project timeline and meet all requirements
Execute production of project deliverables for project sponsors and stakeholders in a timely manner while managing multiple priorities under minimal supervision
Work with external agencies and vendors to execute marketing programs
Conduct market research and analyze trends to identify new marketing opportunities
Analyze and report on the performance and efficiency of campaigns
Requirements:
Commitment to continuously improve technical skills in a constantly changing design environment by completing prescribed training objectives
A working knowledge of videography, photography, lighting and digital photo retouching
Demonstrated knowledge of preparing artwork for various digital formats
Proven ability to work autonomously to manage multiple tasks and to deliver within tight timelines
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work well within a team
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of typography
Clear copywriting and editing skills
Strong attention to detail and demonstrated proofreading skills
Ability to receive direction and respond positively to constructive feedback
Ability to follow design concepts and guidelines across a broad range of applications
Demonstrated ability to remain organized
A working knowledge of various file formats
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in a related field (marketing, social media marketing, Social Media Management, communications, public relations, and digital marketing or equivalent).
1 or more years of marketing experience
Strong knowledge of various marketing and analytics tools such as Google Analytics
Understanding of marketing and social media best practices
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong production and related editing skills are a plus.
Self-motivated, able to work independently, and receptive to direction and feedback.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel and Word) and Adobe Creative Suite.
Ability to travel as necessary
